Todd McKinnon
CEO & Co-Founder
Todd's experience focuses on software development and design of web-scale services.
In early 2009, Todd started Okta to answer a simple question: "Why aren't more companies taking advantage of the power, efficiency and flexibility of cloud-based services to run their businesses?" The answers led to our innovative products and technology that transform various web applications into an intelligent, integrated Cloud Area Network™.
From 2003 to 2009, Todd worked at Salesforce.com where he served as overall head of the engineering, user interface design, documentation and localization teams. Under Todd's leadership, the team grew from 15 to over 250 people while the Salesforce.com service grew from 3 million to over 150 million transactions per day with industry leading performance and reliability.
Prior to Salesforce.com, Todd worked at PeopleSoft in the PeopleTools group building the underlying platform for the PeopleSoft applications. He worked as an engineer, technical lead and engineering manager for various areas of the product.
Todd earned a BS in Business from Brigham Young University and an MS in Computer Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Todd currently serves on the Board of Directors of Family House, a not-for-profit organization providing temporary housing to families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at the University of California San Francisco Children's Hospital.

Frederic Kerrest
President & Co-Founder
Frederic is passionate about enterprise technology and has spent the last 12 years helping companies improve their operations by embracing software solutions.
In early 2009, Frederic joined Todd to start Okta with the vision of empowering businesses to transform their web applications into an intelligent, integrated Cloud Area Network™.
From 2007 to 2009, Frederic attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management where he was the 2008 MIT Patrick J. McGovern, Jr. Entrepreneurship Award recipient and Managing Director of the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. During this time Frederic also worked at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, where he evaluated investment opportunities and worked with existing portfolio companies to strengthen their offerings and distribution strategies.
From 2002 to 2007, Frederic worked at Salesforce.com in a variety of Sales and Business Development roles, where he was responsible for creating the first ever software-as-a-service OEM and mobile distribution channels. Frederic helped the company grow from $30M to $750M+ in sales while delivering over $20M in subscriber revenue, and was a 2004 & 2005 Peak Performer Sales Award recipient.
Prior to Salesforce.com, Frederic worked in a number of enterprise software development and management roles, where he wrote enterprise software for Sun Microsystems and Applied Materials, and co-founded and served as director of technology at an award-winning high-tech consulting firm in Latin America.
Frederic earned a BS in Computer Science from Stanford University and an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Eric Berg
Vice President, Products
Eric is a seasoned product strategist and business leader with over 18 years of experience across engineering, marketing and business development roles. He has successfully driven product, business, and go to market strategy for both early stage SaaS companies and high growth software businesses within larger organizations.
Eric joined Okta in early 2010 to drive the product and business strategy necessary to rapidly acquire customers and effectively position Okta in the market.
Most recently Eric was the VP of Product Management and Marketing for Apptio, the market leading SaaS provider of IT Financial Management Solutions. As the first business hire, Eric drove inbound product strategy and outbound go to market efforts to define the product, acquire marquee enterprise customers, position the company as the leading vendor of IT Financial Management software, and deliver the sales enablement, lead gen, PR, and AR efforts necessary to rapidly ramp revenue.
Prior to Apptio Eric spent 6 years at Microsoft where he most recently built and ran the product management and marketing organization for Microsoft's System Center family of systems management products. There he played a key role in growing revenue and share to surpass CA and become the fourth largest systems management business in the world. Earlier Eric worked in the Windows Server business where he was responsible for the cross company product and marketing strategy for Microsoft's Dynamic Systems Initiative. Before Microsoft Eric held a variety of engineering, marketing and business development roles at Intel and Ensim, an NEA backed infrastructure software company.
Eric earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Washington and an MBA from Northwestern University.

Roger Goulart
Vice President, Sales & Business Development
Roger is a software industry veteran with over 20 years of Sales, Alliance, Business Development, Support and Professional Services management experience. He has a proven track record of helping leading SaaS and Software companies build meaningful, long-lasting relationships with customers and partners by helping them overcome the challenges that they face in deploying cloud services.
Roger joined Okta in early 2010 to help build a world class sales and partner organization and ensure that Okta customers are happy and successful.
For the past eight years, Roger helped two major Software-as-a-Service companies, SuccessFactors and Salesforce.com, grow from start-ups to successful public companies. From late 2004 through 2009, Roger was responsible for driving all partnership, alliance, channel and business development at SuccessFactors. He helped grow SuccessFactors from $10M to over $150M in revenue. From 2002 to 2004, Roger was VP of Alliances at Salesforce.com, where he created many of the company's early partnerships and programs and helped grow the company from $7M in revenue to a public company with over $85M in revenue.
Previously, Roger was a key member of the senior management team at BroadVision, where he held various positions, including Vice President of Worldwide Alliances, Vice President of Western Sales and Senior Vice President of Global Services and Alliances. In this position, he was responsible for over 350 services, support and alliance personnel and drove over 65% of the company's revenue. Roger started his career in product and program management at Hewlett-Packard and Amdahl.
Roger earned both a BS and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
