EMEA Events Season: Cloud, Mobile, Security, Oh My!

At Okta, we’re firm believers in the value of getting out and getting to know our customers. Our success depends on their success. Luckily, there’s barely a week that goes by without an exciting IT event that gives us the chance to do so. In Europe, the next couple of months is all about underpinning our expansion into the continent by attending some of the biggest industry events. We kicked off the season in October at IP Expo Europe in London, one of the world’s largest enterprise IT events. With event tracks ranging from cloud to security, Okta had plenty of relevant sessions to attend and learn from – along with a wealth of opportunities to share our own insights and expertise with fellow attendees looking to reimagine their digital enterprises. We also recently paid a visit to the Nordics, where David Hyborn, regional sales director in Stockholm, was invited to take part in Stockholm’s Cloud Confessions. David met with some of Sweden’s top IT decision makers for a full day dedicated to the cloud, packed with first-hand observations and tips for navigating the opportunities and challenges associated with cloud security, law and infrastructure. With CIOs in every industry partnering with leaders in marketing, operations and sales, David shared his thoughts on ”Identity for the Connected Economy” – how these leaders can use identity to enable digital businesses and reinvent their respective industries. If we didn’t catch you at either event and if you’re unable to make it to Oktane15 across the pond in Las Vegas this week, there is plenty coming up in our events calendar. Here’s a snapshot:

• Nordic IT Security (Stockholm, November 3): Find our booth at this one-day event in Stockholm dedicated to the future of enterprise security. Our own David Hyborn will speak about the steps CIOs are taking to reinvent their businesses using purpose-built applications and connected devices, and how identity management plays a key role in enabling any digital business.
• NetHope Summit (Copenhagen, November 2-6): Okta will be at NetHope to talk about how technology platforms like Okta’s help facilitate rapid change among non-profit organisations.
• Gartner Symposium (Barcelona, November 9-12) and Forrester CX Europe (London, November 16-17): We’ve been invited to showcase how mobile is accelerating cloud adoption via mobile.
• SMARTEit (London, November 26): Organised by consulting firm AdvisoryKONNECT, SMARTEit is an event that creates an environment where delegates can discuss the various benefits that security, mobile and analytics technology bring to businesses across industries.

Our presence at events like these is all about learning how we can most effectively fulfill our mission – connecting people with technology – all while technology constantly evolves, and the CIO role changes with it. See you there!
