Senior Manager, BT Release Management

We are looking for a Sr.  Manager, Technical Release Engineering to join our Business Technology organization.  In this critical role, you will be hands-on partnering closely with TPM, Infrastructure, Business Applications, and Engineering teams. You will also be the point person for communicating release information across Business Technology scrum teams.  In this role, you will significantly contribute to the evolution and scale of our release process enabling us to deliver value to our customers efficiently and seamlessly. Successful candidates will have strong hands-on release and project management experience in a dynamic BT environment.

Responsibilities

  • Experience working in a team environment using a Source Configuration Management tool a plus (GitHub, GitLab, Gearset etc)
  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes like Jenkins
  • Provide guidance and direction regarding DevOps Processes and Technical/Pipeline Standards
  • Setup continuous development pipelines
  • Directs the work of release engineers to ensure the best practices around the design and development of builds, scripts, installation procedures, and systems including source code control and issue tracking. 
  • Handle consistent, on-time delivery of high-quality releases. 
  • Able to create the infrastructure necessary to enable frequent and quick releases.
  • Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues regarding release quality and schedule.
  • Continuously monitor projects and provide reports about their progress.
  • Ensuring all team members are adhering to engineering best practices as well as enforcing DevOps policies.
  • Monitoring the release process and collecting feedback from the different teams as well as customers for review.
  • Making improvements on a regular basis to the release process.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in an environment or release management capacity
  • Experience with AWS CodePipeline 
  • Clear understanding of Source Code Management, and best practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of the end-to-end deployment process 
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and partners
  • Results focused, comfortable challenging the status quo 
  • Able to bring creative solutions to the table 
  • Ability to navigate through conflicting priorities
  • Release management experience in a AWS,  SaaS or Cloud Service
  • Experience with Service Management tools
  • Has strong understanding of SOX compliance
