Developer Productivity Engineer, Workflows

Position Description: We are looking for an engineer passionate about building and maintaining the developer productivity ecosystem used by the entire Workflows Engineering organization.

As a productivity engineer you’ll work with both our Engineering and Site Reliability teams to manage and improve our release processes, CI/CD systems in CircleCI, and developer Golang CLI and Kubernetes tooling.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the SRE and Engineering teams to manage, extend and enhance existing CI/CD pipelines
  • Assist in weekly release orchestration
  • Automate and improve processes via Golang tooling and Okta Workflows

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess knowledge of software engineering processes, agile framework, tools (e.g.: programming proficiency in a language, preferably Go or Node.js), methods, test development, algorithms and data structure
  • Passionate about learning new technical ecosystems 
  • Interested in working with container deployment and orchestration technologies at scale with familiarity of the fundamentals to include service discovery, deployments, monitoring, scheduling, load balancing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CI/CD Systems (such as CircleCI or Github Actions)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with development and deployment in a hosted cloud environment, preferably AWS

Education and Training: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
