JOB PURPOSE:

We are currently seeking a Recruiting Manager who will play a key role in driving Okta Engineering organization’s growth expectations for 2020 and beyond! The right person will partner closely with senior engineering leadership as well as her/his recruiting team and peers to apply best practices to execute on the recruiting strategy. Primary capabilities we are looking for in this role are; Strategic Account Management, Operational Excellence, People Leadership and a Marketing mind-set. Secondary, but also important; EQ, Grit, and an ability to tackle executive level searches!

The right person will leverage pervious corporate management experience to consult engineering leadership on the best path forward to win talent. She/he will also use previous leadership experience to develop team members in an effort to create a high performing and inclusive team environment.

The role will report directly to the Sr Director of Product & Technology Recruiting and inherit an existing team of high achieving technical recruiters. Spending time in our San Francisco headquarters is vital to success but the role can also be based in our South Bay headquarters in San Jose.

PRIMARY FOCUS

  • Lead recruiting for core software engineering including recruiting strategy, best practice implementation and metrics reporting
  • Lead and develop direct reports to ensure a strong bench and high performing team
  • Collaborate with peers to develop company-code recruiting programs & strategies that improve the overall talent delivery for Okta
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership, HR Business Partners, Finance and Compensation to create “1 Voice” to the business from the People team
  • Create team goals that align to the greater Recruiting, People team and Okta organization goals
  • Create an environment of belonging and inclusion that fosters high performance and best outcomes for team members, Okta and our customers

 

 WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

  • 7+ years recruiting in software engineering or similar fields
  • 5+ years recruiting software engineers in a corporate environment
  • 3+ years managing recruiting teams in a corporate environment
  • Experience hiring staff and managing performance in a corporate setting
  • Experience using data to positively influence outcomes
  • Fluent in use of metrics reporting via known tools & applicant tracking systems
  • Experience working in a dynamic and fast-growing technology company
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
