Position Description: Okta is searching for an International Statutory Reporting Manager who will lead and manage the statutory reporting activities for Okta’s international entities and branches. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to multitask and meet deadlines on a timely basis with a solid working knowledge of US GAAP/FRS/IFRS reporting. This position will oversee several projects at any given time and work cross-functionally with internal departments and external service providers. This individual thrives on process improvement and enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


This is hybrid role based in our Warsaw office a few days a week.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own, execute and deliver statutory financial reporting requirements to ensure compliance for all international entities and branches
  • Own the external auditor relationship and manage the external audit process for all international entities
  • Effectively manage internal and external resources on a day-to-day basis to ensure continued project progression
  • Provide adequate training to and oversight of the team to prepare for and execute all  external audits
  • Mentor, coach and develop the team
  • Plan, coordinate and review annual statutory financial statements for all international entities and branches applying local GAAP / IFRS accounting guidance and working in partnership with our external accountants
  • Establish strong and effective working relationships with all internal stakeholders (i.e. Accounting, Tax, Legal, Payroll, Treasury etc.) and external accountants and tax advisors
  • Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Legal, Tax, Payroll and various functional business owners to establish best practices, as well as drive on-going process refinement to improve the efficiency and accuracy of statutory financial reporting
  • Review US GAAP to local GAAP statutory trial balance adjustments for accuracy and completeness
  • Ownership and maintenance of the statutory (secondary) books within the NetSuite system preparing, reviewing and/or approving journal entries as required adjusting US GAAP management accounts to local GAAP statutory accounts
  • Keep up to date with all new International Financial Reporting Regulations
  • Maintain process documentation (at least) annually to reflect changes
  • Participate and/or lead operational or other functional projects as needed


Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Qualified Accountant or ACA equivalent
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1-3 years of management experience
  • Solid working knowledge and application of US GAAP, IFRS, FRS and other regulatory frameworks and internal controls
  • Experience working at a Big 4/ or Top 10 Accountancy firm 
  • Experience in preparing annual statutory accounts under IFRS/FRS
  • Previous experience of managing direct reports
  • Ability to partner, collaborate and influence across functional areas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic setting while maintaining accuracy and delivering against deadlines
  • Motivated to work cross-functionally in a role that requires fostering strong relationships with multiple internal business partners and external service providers
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility to take meetings outside of normal working hours, as needed, to accommodate the time zones of our international operations and staff
