Field Marketing Manager

Reporting to the Director Demand Generation Asia Pacific and Japan, This position is responsible for executing strategic programs with cross-functional teams to create demand.

Working Closely with the Demand Generation and broader go to market team, you will drive execution of regional field events and programs whilst working with our partners to drive business value.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining process to drive efficiency within the Demand Generation team, this role will add and maintain communication methods to ensure stakeholder awareness and buy in of programs.

 Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Field team - Define, develop and execute local, regional and channel events across APAC. This includes defining the event theme and programs in line with the business objectives of each business segment
  • Assist with demand generation tasks including outreach to existing customers and net new contact acquisition via channels already in place at Okta.
  • Work in close partnership with appointed agencies, managing agency budgets, timelines and project deliverables. Reviewing agency performance, tools and resources regularly to drive constant and improved efficiencies.
  • Project managing the development of content for events, working with the stakeholders and agency(s) to bring Okta’s products and services to life in the event environment.
  • Provide end to end logistics delivery, execution and support of all event campaigns – including managing all suppliers, contracts, event resources, compliance, branding, integration and planning.
  • Manage complete Demand Generation Marketing Budget working with Finance to ensure alignment
  • Manage Legal contracts for all event
  • Integrate post event reporting and analysis of event activities and ROI.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across all regional and global stakeholders.
  • Ensure global consistency to brand guidelines.
  • Assist with development of strategy for Marketing Sales Segments.
  • Design and implement internal communication strategies for engagement and buy-in.
  • Create event and communication assets to drive results including lead generation strategies, newsletters, blogs, promotions.
  • Present strategies to internal stakeholders, ensured successful alignment of priorities and metrics.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop and plan the annual event strategy for Marketing Sales segments and the Director.
  • Provide budget and financial planning, management, tracking and reconciliation for all Marketing projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and agency to develop each segment’s event program in more detail including speaker line-up, content development, agenda and format, research, audience acquisition, messaging, integration of social and digital overlay, reporting and budgeting.
  • Look for ways to create and implement unique and innovative, experiential and strategic programs that align to each segment and positivity drive Okta’s sales goals and marketing ROI.
  • Cross-collaborate, influence and leverage marketing opportunities to internal stakeholders including digital and social leads.
  • Apply a best practice event service all events by overseeing the event resources and event agency in all aspects of delivery including creative development, event strategy, operations, reporting, resourcing and budgeting - to align with business outcomes.
  • Create and maintain event tools (event geek) – critical paths, timelines, stakeholder reporting, campaign reporting.
  • Manage multiple suppliers, vendors and agencies who support campaign plans
  • Provided strategic event marketing leadership and vision of a cross-company event and sponsorship strategy for Okta’s flagship events.
  • Ensure all events achieved 100% alignment with business objectives and Okta’s brand values and compliance.
  • Ensure event execution processes and administration meet company compliance and delivery guidelines including procurement, registration tools, reporting, ethics, deadlines.
  • Manage, coach, support and mentor event resources where required. 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in event marketing in B2B technology company or agency.
  • Experience in developing and delivery all size & scale events – flagship, medium and small.
  • Proven track record in delivery of world class events.
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement (internal and external) with the ability to manage virtual stakeholder teams and multi-pillar stakeholder teams.
  • Solid understanding of event ROI, including event ROI, new pipeline and pipeline progression lead management.
  • Team player, with ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Demonstrable leadership and management ability – lead from the front, a ‘lean in’ attitude.
  • Able to operate efficiently in a rapidly changing, ambiguous and undefined environment.
  • Deep experience in event marketing communications with excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and execute multiple events at the same time.
