Sr. Analyst / Manager, Marketing Strategy & Operations

Position Description:

To help us achieve this ambitious growth objective we are seeking a seasoned operations specialist to enable our demand gen engine with insights that drive action, plans that drive results, and process improvement that delivers leverage. This person is equal parts product manager, analyst, account executive, and customer success champion for Okta’s marketing operations and will be an instrumental part of our strategy and operations team.

The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of B2B sales and demand gen (and empathy for demand marketers!), fluency working with data and quantitative reasoning, excellent written and verbal communication skills, expertise in marketing automation and CRM, and most importantly, a passion for teamwork and collaboration. The ideal profile will have experience in a fast paced high growth environment with technology companies, SaaS or enterprise software.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Leadership: Be the first to understand the dynamics driving performance, and become a trusted advisor for your business partners. Manage the roadmap for how we’ll enable what the business wants to achieve with tools, instrumentation, analytics, and reporting.
  • Technology: Take ownership of part of our marketing tech stack. Make sure it’s doing all that it can for us, and that your users are wildly successful with it. Stay up to date with the best tech and bring in new tools to give us an edge.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Partner with the business to generate the insights needed to drive toward the results we want. Develop metrics and build reporting that becomes essential to the execution of your stakeholders.
  • Process: Develop, launch, and support automation and data collection policies and processes for a global marketing and sales development team.
  • Enablement: Train our team of marketers to best use the tools and processes you’ve developed for them. Build documentation in all appropriate media to make sure your customers are fully equipped to do their jobs. Be the go-to person for advice and questions.

Required Skills:

  • 4 - 7 years related work experience
  • 3+ years experience in marketing operations, management consulting, or analytics
  • Strong analytical reasoning and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, build consensus, and influence with personable persistence
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast paced highly demanding environment
  • Proficiency with Excel data modeling and analysis skills
  • Expertise in Marketo and Salesforce
  • Experience with lead scoring and attribution
  • Experience with B2B demand gen
  • BA or BS in economics, math, business, finance or other quantitative discipline
