Senior/Group Product Manager, Directories

Position Description: 

If you’re an experienced and driven Product Manager who thrives on building highly scalable platforms for enterprise customers in the cloud, Okta wants you! We need you to reimagine the modern cloud directory and build the underlying platform that makes it a reality. This role is highly critical to the company because this new platform will power all the new solutions and verticals that Okta invests in over the next several years. You will also own our Directories integrations business - another highly critical piece of technology that is central to everything large enterprise customers do with Okta. 

As the ideal candidate for this role, you’re a strong product leader with a technical background, business acumen and a strong ability to work across organizations. You’re laser focused on delivering the most important end to end scenarios that meet the true long-term needs of our customers (not just what they want). You also love working with engineers and architects to understand what the possible solutions are, how we deliver the most customer value from our efforts and inspiring them to deliver aggressively to meet customer and market demand.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Product Management experience delivering high scale cloud services targeted for enterprise customers
  • Experience delivering products or solutions involving cloud directories, databases or distributed storage systems
  • Demonstrated business results from products or features you have shipped
  • Technical experience that allows you to influence investment decisions and technical design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience working closely with enterprise customers to understand their challenges - and creating a multi-year roadmap to address their future needs
  • 5+ years of industry experience, 3+ years of product management or related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or business discipline.  


  • Experience working with enterprise directory products (e.g. Active Directory, LDAP)
  • Experience with cloud directory solutions (e.g. AWS IAM, Azure AD)
  • Experience with the broader Microsoft enterprise technology stack (e.g., Office365, Windows Hello for Business, Hybrid AAD Join)
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies used by your engineering teams
  • Advanced degree (Masters or higher) in a technical or business field
