Okta is building an in-house Brand Design team. This is a unique opportunity we will be building a world-class team of designers and project managers to refresh Okta’s brand with the support of an agency. Okta’s Creative team helps with the concept and development of stories, content, campaigns and experiences that connect Okta with the world. As the Sr. Project Manager of Digital, you are the liaison between internal business partners, external vendors, and our team for all digital needs. The role is focused on building the web experience for our brand and is responsible for project intake, developing creative briefs, managing timelines, running meetings, and keeping our team on course. It’s important that the Sr. Project Manager of Digital understands the details of how to best support the full web experience that includes strategy, research, information architecture, UX/UI design and development. The role also requires strong strategic thinking that will allow for quick problem solving and prioritization in a fast-paced environment. Due to the highly collaborative nature of this role, strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional team experience is required. As the Brand Design team continues to grow, you will manage and mentor direct reports.
Manage end-to-end project life cycle from intake, briefing, creative development, to delivery for web design and marketing campaigns
Lead project kick-off meetings with stakeholders and cross functional creative, development and production teams.
Partner with the Creative Director to create efficient workflows and processes around digital experiences
Identify roles and responsibilities within projects and negotiate project schedules
Clearly communicate expectations and action items throughout the course of a project
Anticipate, oversee and troubleshoot any potential problems within our creative and cross-functional teams,
and manage implications in terms of priorities, tasks, resources or other requirements
Manage communication and scope of work for external creative support and vendors
Contribute to a culture of excellence
Manage and mentor project managers and/or traffic coordinators
7-10 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary creative projects and initiatives with several cross-functional partners
5+ years of experience managing direct reports
Deep understanding of the web design process – project management experience of sites and systems from
the ground up.
Strong understanding of timelines and processes that are needed to support site architecture, user
experience, visual interfaces and device functionality
Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, cool under pressure, meets challenges bravely, with a high level
of adaptability and resilience
Poised negotiator who can collaboratively problem solve with stakeholders while representing creative
Ability to set priorities, problem-solve, and multi-task in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
Highly organized with a passion for creative production, advertising and design
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with digital asset management and project management tools and software including Asana,
Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, and Microsoft PowerPoint is preferred
Open-minded, respectful, patient, solution-oriented team player
Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience
