Sales Development Team Manager, London

Position Description: 

The Manager of Sales Development EMEA position is based in London and is responsible for hiring, managing and mentoring a team of Outbound Sales Development Reps to meet and exceed goals for call activity, pipeline and bookings. The Sales Development Reps are responsible for prospecting to generate leads and opportunities for Account Executives in the Direct Sales organization. 

Candidates considered for the Sales Development Manager role must have a passion to succeed, a clear vision of their goals & career path and the desire to be part of a dynamic team environment of growth and change. Okta needs a seasoned Sales Development Manager who can not only lead the team but also make outbound calls daily to continue to enhance the skills of the Sales Development team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline
  • Responsible for SDR team quota and net new pipeline
  • Responsible for career development and advancement of team individuals
  • Coaching and mentoring Outbound Sales Development reps on calls and through 1:1s
  • Help create and prioritize strategic target account lists
  • Research and build new and existing accounts
  • Conduct high level conversations with Senior Executives in prospect accounts
  • Evangelize Okta and the On-Demand mode
  • Ensure alignment with marketing and sales 

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in a prospecting role with a strong track record of results
  • Experience of  leading, hiring & developing a high performance inside sales or SDR team
  • Experience in SaaS or enterprise software sales is a must
  • Salesforce.com experience a must
  • Analytical and able to analyse data and articulate to senior leaders
  • Experience running metrics and presenting to Executive teams
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, driven and self-starting individual
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
  • Excellent time management/organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Creative mindset and can-do attitude
  • Ability to be in our London office full time
