Event Information

When and where is Oktane19?

Oktane19 will take place Monday, April 1, 2019 - Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Moscone West in San Francisco, CA. 

Pre-conference training will take place Sunday, March 31, 2019 - Monday, April 1, 2019.

Who will attend Oktane?

Thousands of IT executives, application architects, IT directors + managers, admins, developers, product leaders, security professionals, industry thought-leaders, service providers, and leading SaaS application providers.

Who can attend Oktane19?

Oktane19 is open to both IT and business professionals, across companies of all sizes and all industries. The conference is open to Okta customers or individuals interested in identity, security, and mobility.

When will I be able to download the Oktane19 mobile app?

The Oktane19 mobile app is scheduled to release in March 2019. Once live, an email will be sent to registrants with additional information. 

Registration Information

What is included in a Full Conference Pass?

With a Full Conference Pass you will have access to all of the Keynotes, Breakout Sessions, Labs, Expo Hall, Welcome Reception, Meals (breakfast + lunch), and the Customer Appreciation Party. 

What is the keynote + expo only pass?

The keynote + expo only pass is a complimentary pass that gives attendees access to select events on Monday, April 1, Tuesday, April 2, and Wednesday, April 3 (Expo Hall, opening, and closing keynotes). This pass does not include meals, conference materials, breakout sessions, hands-on training, or the Wednesday night party at Bill Graham. You are able to purchase a pass to the Customer Appreciation party for $100 during the registration process.To register for this complimentary pass, please visit oktane19.com/free.

How do I get a copy of my invoice/receipt?

When you register, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address on file, including item(s) ordered and amount paid. If you did not receive this email or cannot locate it, please email our Registration Team at [email protected]

Attendee Services

I have special dietary needs. How do I make a dietary request?

Okta will make an effort to provide meals that accommodate attendees with a variety of dietary requirements (vegetation, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, or kosher). During the registration process, you will be asked to identify what these needs are. We will make every effort to accommodate these needs but cannot guarantee to fulfill every request. When you arrive at the meal area, please let a server know and they will review the available meal options.

What is your registration cancellation and substitution policy?

CANCELLATION POLICY: 
Registration cancellations must be received in writing by 5:00 PM (PST) by Friday, March 1, 2019, to be eligible for a refund, less a $100.00 (USD) processing fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after 5:00 PM (PST) on March 1, 2019. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected]

SUBSTITUTION POLICY:
If you are unable to attend, you may substitute one colleague's name per registration. All substitutions must be received in writing by 5:00 PM (PST) on Friday, March 1, 2019. After this date, all substitutions are subject to a $75.00 (USD) processing fee. Please submit substitution requests to [email protected] and include the following information for the new registrant: Name, Job Title/Position, Work Address, Work Phone Number, and Email Address. A registration confirmation will be sent to the new registrant once the substitution is confirmed.

Travel + Accommodations

When should I plan on arriving and departing San Francisco?

Oktane19 officially kicks off on Monday, April 1 at 5:30pm with a Welcome Reception. Our final keynote will conclude by 6pm on Wednesday, April 3, followed by our Customer Appreciation Party. 

If you are joining us for pre-conference training, please check out our “Education” tab. The first pre-conference training sessions begin on Sunday, March 31.

What hotels are available to stay at during Oktane?

We have secured a group of rooms at various hotels near Moscone Center. You can find a full list of these hotels, their rates, and special booking links through the Oktane19 Hotels website.

What is the hotel cancellation policy?

If you reserved a room through the Oktane19 Hotels website, cancellations must be made according to the hotel’s cancellation policy (between two weeks and five days prior to arrival, depending on the hotel). Failure to do so will incur a penalty equal to the cost of one night’s room and tax. 

If you purchased a Travel Package (full conference pass + hotel)  through the registration process, please email our Registration Team at [email protected] with any questions. 

Note: All hotels will charge a deposit to the credit card on file prior to arrival, which will be refunded if you cancel within the specified time.

Agenda + Sessions

When does call for proposals/speakers open?

The call for proposals/speakers for Oktane19 is now open through December 20, 2018. Please click here to submit a proposal. 

Will I be able to select/reserve sessions and build my agenda before I get onsite?

The agenda builder is scheduled to release in late February. Once live, an email will be sent to registrants with additional information. 

Does Oktane attendance qualify for CPE credits?

Yes - Oktane19 is an Official (ISC)2® CPE submitter. Attendees will be required to provide their (ISC)2® member number during registration and Okta will submit names directly to CPE.

CPE credits are earned for participating in educational or other activities, such as attending conferences, where members gain knowledge and skills that would benefit them to grow within their chosen profession.
