Okta Welcomes Mike Kourey to its Board of Directors

I'm pleased to share that Mike Kourey has joined Okta's board of directors and will serve as the chairman of the audit committee. Mike is the chief financial officer at Medallia and has held executive, board and advisory roles at high-growth technology companies for more than 25 years. Mike brings to Okta a unique balance of expertise in corporate governance, financial management and financial strategy.

Mike currently serves on the board of directors for RingCentral. He was on the board of directors and the audit committee for Aruba Networks (until its acquisition by Hewlett-Packard in May 2015) and served as the lead director at Riverbed Technology from 2006 to 2014, serving on the audit committee for five years and then as the audit committee chair for three years. He was also a partner at Khosla Ventures, an Okta investor, until early 2015. Prior to Khosla, Mike was the CFO at Polycom from 1995 to 2012, as well as a board member there from 1999 to 2011.

Not only is Mike highly regarded in the financial community, but he also has extensive experience with the systems of SaaS companies. He has witnessed firsthand the digital shift happening in business, driven by the rapid growth in adoption of cloud and mobile technologies. He shares our belief that Okta sits at the center of the SaaS ecosystem, and will therefore be foundational for businesses and organizations that embrace this transformation.
