- You submitted a sales pitch. The session feels like a demo for a paid service rather than a knowledge share.
- You used placeholder descriptions or speakers. Example: “TBD BigNameCompany”. Reviewers need to see all the specifics for your session.
- Lack of ROI detail. Numbers provide instant credibility.
Call for Speakers
We invite Okta customers, partners*, thought leaders, and Okta employees to apply to speak during one of our breakout sessions. You’ll share your story and insights with thousands of technology leaders, cloud experts, security professionals, and developers.
*If you are an Okta partner listed in the Okta Integration Network or the Auth0 Marketplace looking to submit a session, please refer to the Partner Speaker guidelines.
What’s the process?
You can learn more about what we’re looking for, such as focus topics and prerequisites, on the FAQs page and the submission guidelines below.
An effective proposal should have a clear focus on attendees in a specific role, unique or actual application of an Okta product (we want to hear your successes and best practices), and results and metrics that demonstrate your success (efficiencies, automation, ROI, etc.).
We give every submission careful consideration, and you can expect to hear from us by June 5, 2026. We ask that all interested speakers please wait to register until after you’ve heard back about your submission.
Accepted customer or non-Okta affiliated speakers will receive a complimentary Oktane Standard pass and hotel stay along with exclusive perks, networking opportunities, and resources to help you prepare.
We’ll work with you to make sure your story hits all the right beats and is being heard by the right people.
Why be a speaker?
Share your story with the people who are excited to hear it. You’ll inspire others with what you’ve learned, become a name worth knowing in the industry, and be a huge part of what makes Oktane the AI security event of the year.
Speaker benefits
For easy registration, we ask that all speaker applicants please refrain from registering for Oktane until you’ve heard back about your submission.
Excluding Oktane sponsors and Okta employees
- Hotel stay for up to two nights in an Okta-selected hotel in our room block*
- A complimentary, non-transferable Oktane Standard pass
- Exclusive speaker training resources to help you prepare
- The opportunity to share your unique story and grow your brand
*Okta does not cover the cost of flights or ground transportation.
Important dates
Call for Speakers closes April 17, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. We'll be in touch regarding your submission by June 5, 2026.
Due to the number of applicants each year, not every submission will be selected; however, we're always looking for creative ways to showcase identity thought leaders. Okta may contact you about using your submitted content/speakers in a combined session with other submissions (vs a standalone session) or as part of an Okta event outside of Oktane.

- Stay away from proposing a marketing or sales pitch.

While we review every application, those that are thorough and include all of the following information will be given priority:
- Session title
- Session abstract
- Session outline
- Elevator pitch of your proposed session
- How do you plan on engaging the audience in your breakout session?
- Show off your skills! Please provide a YouTube link of a previous speaking engagement. If you do not have a previous talk, you can record a video of yourself explaining your session, upload it to Youtube, and share the link here.
- What topics will your session cover?
- Which platform is your session focused on?
- What Okta products do you currently use that you could speak to in a session?
- What Auth0 products do you currently use and could speak to in a session?
- What type of audience is your session for?
- What industry is your session relevant to?
- What region is your session relevant to?
- What experience level is your session for?
- Is your company an Okta Partner?
- Do you have your company’s permission to speak at this event?
Our partner ecosystem is vital to the success of Okta. If your company is a current Okta customer and also an Okta partner listed in the Okta Integration Network or the Auth0 Marketplace, we welcome your submissions with the following requirements:
- The partner speaker is telling a story of how they use Okta products day to day to be productive.
- The partner speaker must be someone who can speak to the Okta product’s functionality.
- All partner speaking sessions, outside of our paid sponsor speaking slots, will need to be accompanied by an Okta speaker and/or another customer speaker.
If you would like to present a topic on your own, please consider becoming a sponsor. You can find more information on how to become a sponsor by emailing sponsorships@okta.com.
- Submissions will be evaluated based on merit and relevance to Oktane’s focus topics for this year.
- There is a possibility that an Okta partner, customer, or employee speaker will be added to your session. We reserve the right to combine session submissions at the discretion of the review committee.
- If you are submitting multiple session ideas, you will need to submit a separate proposal for each session.
