Customer Identity Trends report 2023 - APJ Executive Summary

This executive summary highlights the key trends in consumer attitudes across the Asia-Pacific towards convenience, security, and privacy, and examines the implications for online service providers. 

The Customer Identity Trends report was produced in partnership with Okta and Statista and surveyed over 20,000 consumers across 14 countries in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. In this executive summary, we focus on responses from consumers in Japan, South Korea, and Australia.

The executive summary examines the impact of account proliferation on risk and friction, and highlights that the median number of active digital accounts held by each consumer in the APJ region is between ten and 20.

It also highlights that consumers in the APJ region are becoming more concerned about privacy and are more protective of their personal data, with 77% of survey participants stating that they want control over their data.
