Okta Wins “Most Innovative Enterprise Product of the Year” at the UK Cloud Awards

It’s been a busy few months here at Okta EMEA. This past year, we expanded into the Nordics, opened an EU data centre in Germany with failover in Ireland, obtained ISO 27001 certification for our information security management system, and announced our partnership with Box to support contextual access management. On top of that, last year we enhanced the Okta Platform to include integrated social authentication and support for OpenID Connect, enabling enterprise developers to launch applications faster. And our hard work on the Okta Platform has paid off — we’ve seen how, using Okta, our customers have connected with partners, customers and contractors, increasing their productivity and directly impacting their top and bottom line. Now, the Cloud Industry Forum has recognised our achievements by naming the Okta Platform the “Most Innovative Enterprise Product of the Year” at this year’s UK Cloud Awards.

The UK Cloud Awards celebrate innovation, entrepreneurialism and technical excellence in the UK cloud IT Market. With the Most Innovative Enterprise Product of the Year category, judges recognise solutions that enable scale change in the UK’s largest businesses by leveraging the opportunities offered by the cloud to drive agility, peak scale services and economical efficiencies.

So what set the Okta Platform apart from its competitors? We’ve made it easy for development teams to build secure, scalable and highly available identity capabilities to any application without maintaining a database of user logins or handling authentication and encryption. This means they can spend less time on writing systems for basic login and focus on building innovative features. And our recent improvements to the Okta Platform enable enterprise developers to launch applications faster than ever.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who made this award possible, including our Platform customers — such as Adobe, Rotary International, Advent Software, Alzheimer’s Society, Rentpath and Kobalt — for singing our praises, our team for their diligent hard work, and the judges at the UK Cloud Awards for their recognition. We are proud to have earned the trust of brands around the world and look forward to continue working with them as they look to bridge the gap between productivity and enterprise security.
