Kundan Kolhe

VP, AI Strategy and Forward Deployed Engineering

Kundan is part of Okta’s AI Takeoff team, where he leads a team of Forward Deployed Engineers working with customers on emerging agentic security problems.

Agentic security is being defined in customers’ engineering rooms, and that’s where he spends most of his time. His team operates in a see it, build it, ship it mode: get close to the problem, understand the use case, build what’s needed, and bring those patterns back to shape the product roadmap.

On weekends, he builds AI agents just to see what breaks. He writes about what he learns, too.

Kundan has spent more than 25 years working somewhere between customers, engineering, and product. He grew up in India and has since lived in the UK, Sweden, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the US. The people, food, and different cultures he's experienced along the way have shaped how he works and thinks.

Seattle is home now. He loves being surrounded by mountains, ski slopes, the ocean, and the rolling landscape of the Pacific Northwest.
