Angelos K. Marnerides is Asst. Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Faculty Member at the KIOS Research and Innovation Centre of Excellence at the University of Cyprus, leading research in cybersecurity for cyber-physical and critical infrastructure systems. He previously held academic positions as Assoc. Professor at University of Glasgow and Lecturer at Lancaster University, and Liverpool John Moores University, as well as postdoctoral appointments at University College London, the University of Porto, Carnegie Mellon University, and Lancaster University. His work develops practical, data-driven security and resilience solutions for Internet-enabled systems and has attracted over €15M in funding from industry, government, and defence organisations. He coordinates major EU Horizon projects delivering deployable security technologies for European power grids and quantum-safe infrastructure, working closely with industrial partners and infrastructure operators. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and recipient of IEEE ComSoc contribution awards and has acted as expert reviewer and panel member for several funding entities (e.g., EU, UKRI, Hong Kong RAE, Israel Innovation Authority).
