Apply now for the Okta Startup Challenge
Okta is launching the annual Okta Startup Challenge this year at Oktane25 in Las Vegas. In collaboration with Nasdaq, Okta is offering great awards for this exciting challenge. The Okta Startup Challenge is a contest for early-stage startups incorporated in the United States that are building innovative products enabled by identity workflows. Any startup utilizing Okta or Auth0’s platform in any capacity is encouraged to apply. The winner and finalists may receive up to $500,000 in investment from Okta, mentorship from Okta leaders and the opportunity to ring the Nasdaq opening bell in New York.

Requirements
- Build an identity-centric application that can now or in the future utilize Okta’s integrated platform as part of its architecture
- Register interest and complete a description of your application before the deadline
- Be a United States C corporation or LLC and have not have exceeded, at any point prior to the entry date and through Contest Period, $10 million USD total capital on its balance sheet
Timeline
- Application submissions are open now until June 30, 2025
- Finalist Selection will occur on July 15, 2025
- Live Pitching and Winner Selection. Finalists will prepare live pitches, which will occur on the second day of Oktane on September 25, 2025.
The prizes
3 finalists receive:
- Promotional feature on select marketing channels, including official Okta social media accounts
- Opportunity to present at Oktane to investors and potential customers attending Oktane
- Up to two (2) passes for Oktane, and travel expenses (e.g. airfare, hotel and transportation) up to $3000.
- Opportunity to ring the Nasdaq Opening Bell (to be determined at a mutually agreed time in Okta’s reasonable discretion).
Selection criteria
- Business with market potential that can benefit from Okta’s customers, platform, and integration ecosystem
- Unique value proposition targeting solutions that utilize identity to protect or enable new use cases
- Strong teams with industry-specific experience
