Okta 2014 Highlights: A Year In Numbers

Another year, another opportunity to set resolutions and vow to stick to them in the new year. That might mean signing up to volunteer more regularly, trying to get some value out of your gym membership or simply straightening up your finances. But the new year is also a great time to reflect on the last 365 days and celebrate all that you’ve already accomplished.

Screen Shot 2015-01-15 at 12.07.58 PMIt’s no different here at Okta. We’re making goals for 2015 and reflecting on the past 12 months. What do we see? A lot of log-ins, great memories and record growth. How much growth exactly? We decided to break 2014 down by the numbers and put together a visual analysis of our year, which you can find on our interactive site.

Before you head to the new webpage, here’s a quick preview of what you’ll find:

Customers: Thanks to the more than 4 million users that use the Okta Application Network on a regular basis, we calculated the average number of applications per user, daily log-ins, and growth in Office 365 applications.

Product: You might be surprised to know that we released 40 major releases with our cloud-based subscription model, grew our total number of applications in the OAN to 4,000 and released our first mobility management solution in November at Oktane14.

Company: With a $75MM investment from a Series E, we expanded globally and opened up not one, but two international offices (London and Sydney.) It was a big year as we added 213 members to the global team - which equals a lot more mouths to feed as we also catered more than 34,000 lunches at our headquarters in San Francisco.
