About our team

The Studio at Okta is a growing group within Marketing, composed of creatives, strategists, producers, and marketing managers alike. Our team’s focus is to lead the brand, tell powerful stories and inspire creative excellence. 

As a partner to cross-functional teams across all of Okta, we tie our goals to our most important company initiatives, driving towards shared KPIs, strategies and processes to unify and push the brand and business forward.

About this role

This role will act as a strategic partner to our Marketing Studio leadership team reporting to the VP of Brand and Head of Studio. As a key member of the Studio team, this role will ensure the organization is meeting Studio objectives and delivering on key projects in a coordinated and cohesive manner. The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated individual that has the experience in working with creative teams as well as cross functionally across marketing. 

The ideal person shows a lot of initiative and is a true self-starter, identifying and managing internal initiatives that make our team run better and work seamlessly with cross-functional teams across the company. They are unafraid to look at things differently, see a problem, propose different solutions and execute on the right solution, without needing a ton of oversight.

What you'll be doing

  • Partner with senior leaders to define key priorities, manage resource needs, and set project timelines across the Studio and in support of cross-functional projects.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the Studio and marketing teams to ensure alignment and communication. Work with external agency partners as needed to scale creative efforts.
  • Accelerate AI usage for the Studio by liaising with cross-functional groups within Marketing and Okta while focusing on the needs of the Studio and our creative & strategic process.
  • Partner closely with Strategy & Ops, including annual and quarterly planning. Ensure accuracy in their forecasting and correct utilization of funds.
  • Play a key role in driving complex, cross-functional, Studio initiatives. Coordinate with teams to ensure projects are hitting Studio objectives and goals. Own communication and proactive updates on progress against the plan.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and use data-driven insights to prioritize initiatives.
  • Drive organizational rigor and process improvements for Studio workflows. Proactively and timely communicate with stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive creative environment, organizing team events and initiatives to build culture.
  • Assist with drafting and editing internal communications, presentations, and prep materials for the Studio leadership team .

What experience you have 

  • Bachelors in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Extraordinary communication and strategic planning skills.
  • 8+ years of experience in creative or brand team management in a creative agency or client-side team; B2B / tech experience is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in helping run a creative team that produces advertising, events, digital, partnerships, brand strategy, social media, creative
  • Hands-on expertise in managing the development of creative solutions 
  • Outstanding presentation skills and a proven ability to produce and strategic presentations to all levels of an organization.
  • A deep understanding of creative workflows, processes, and operations
  • You have the ability to think big while understanding the realities of a fast moving business
  • You should be a self-starter while being comfortable collaborating with teams, stakeholders, contractors, agencies, and partners.
  • Work well within a complex organization, demonstrating an ability to navigate internal structures, building the right relationships to get things done effectively.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $165,000$247,000 USD
