The Principal Product Manager Opportunity

We’re seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead our Technology, Data and Intelligence (TDI), Engineering Services organization. This highly strategic role will drive the vision and execution of the core engineering services that power our enterprise, with a strong emphasis on integrating and optimizing productivity applications like Google, Slack, and other collaboration tools. As a key liaison across our Engineering functions, you’ll ensure our foundational services are secure, scalable, and user-friendly while streamlining the enterprise user experience, removing systemic friction points, and simplifying complex engineering workflows.

You’ll build and champion ambitious roadmaps that address immediate needs while anticipating future challenges across our engineering ecosystem and productivity landscape. A critical focus will be on leveraging cutting-edge AI to enhance service delivery, automate operational tasks, and improve the intelligence and reliability of our infrastructure and tools. As a Principal Product Manager, you’ll provide thought leadership, shape technical direction, and drive operational excellence. We'd love to hear from you if you’re a seasoned product leader passionate about optimizing productivity applications and applying advanced technology to solve complex business problems.

What you’ll be doing

  • Define and evangelize the long-term product vision and strategy for TDI Engineering Services, aligning with overall company objectives, with a specific focus on enhancing and integrating productivity applications.
  • Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert in engineering services and enterprise productivity tools, guiding cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct deep discovery into complex internal user needs and engineering challenges related to our services and integrated productivity suite, translating them into compelling product strategies and detailed requirements.
  • Own and drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for key engineering services initiatives, from strategic planning and prioritization to execution, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  • Champion initiatives to streamline the user experience for Okta and the consumption of productivity applications, focusing on large-scale simplification and efficiency gains.
  • Proactively identify and lead opportunities to strategically apply artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance service delivery, automate critical processes, and significantly improve system reliability and proactive issue resolution.
  • Develop and present compelling business cases for new initiatives, securing buy-in from senior leadership and allocating resources effectively.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 10+ years of progressive product management experience, with a significant focus on internal platforms, engineering tools, core infrastructure services, or enterprise productivity application integration within business technology.
  • Proven experience leading and shipping complex products in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally within a large-scale technical organization.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with major enterprise productivity applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Box) and their integration points.
  • Strong understanding of the practical application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in areas such as service automation, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, or operational intelligence, especially as applied to user workflows and application performance.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into actionable plans.
  • Superior communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, capable of effectively engaging and aligning diverse technical and business stakeholders at all levels, up to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority, driving consensus and motivating cross-functional teams toward a shared vision.
  • A strong technical aptitude and comfort engaging in deep technical discussions with engineers.
