Job Description
Okta is looking for an AI Operations Senior Manager - Functional Partners to join our newly formed AI Strategy team, reporting to our VP of AI Strategy. As Okta accelerates enterprise-wide adoption of AI, this role will be central to ensuring we scale high-impact use cases across our Go-to-Market (GTM) and General & Administrative (G&A) functions. The Senior GenAI Functional Partners Lead will act as the connective tissue between strategy, tooling, and operational execution — ensuring Sales, Marketing, Customer First, People, Finance, Legal, and other teams can unlock value from GenAI effectively.
You will partner closely with Business Technology, Strategy & Ops, and functional leaders to run a structured intake and prioritization process for AI use cases, maintain visibility into in-flight initiatives, and codify successful patterns into replicable playbooks. You’ll also help shape Okta’s AI vendor strategy, build maturity models to measure functional readiness, and create prototypes that showcase the art of the possible.
Our ideal candidate has deep applied knowledge of how GenAI can transform GTM and G&A workflows, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and a track record of leading complex technology initiatives. This is a highly visible role with significant opportunity to influence Okta’s AI adoption journey.
What you’ll be doing
- Build trusted relationships with GTM and G&A functional leaders, Strategy & Ops, and Technology, Data and Intelligence teams
- Partner with Technology and Enterprise Productivity teams to run a structured intake and prioritization process for AI use cases aligned to enterprise priorities
- Maintain a centralized view of Tier 1/2 AI initiatives across business functions
- Codify successful AI patterns (e.g., chatbot deflection, co-pilot workflows, personalized sales outreach) into scalable playbooks
- Support GTM and departmental AI strategy development; ensure cross-functional alignment on similar use cases (e.g., pre- vs. post-sales)
- Act as the operations partner to BT on enterprise AI vendor/product strategy (Agentspace, ChatGPT, Gemini, Zoom, Asana, etc.)
- Partner with Technology teams to create prototypes showcasing new AI possibilities for business teams
- Co-develop a capability maturity model to assess adoption, governance, and skills readiness across functions
What you’ll bring to the role
- Strong understanding of core GTM motions (pipeline generation, renewals, CSM role, etc.) and G&A workflows
- Experience working with both GTM and G&A stakeholders; ability to navigate business process nuance
- Deep applied knowledge of GenAI (prompt engineering, tool evaluation, use case patterns); not necessarily a builder but fluent in applied AI transformation
- Proven track record incubating a successful new project or complex technology initiative from end to end, in partnership with a business technology org
- Exceptional program management, communication, and influence skills
