The Field Process and Systems Team

At Okta, our AI strategy is designed to revolutionize how we engage with customers and operate our business. For that strategy to succeed, we need a deep, practical understanding of our current field operations. We are looking for a Manager of Field AI Process & Operations to be that critical link, sitting within the Field Process & Systems team.

The Manager, Field AI Process & Operations Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Sales Process and Systems, this role will be embedded within our operations teams (Sales Ops, PreSales Ops, etc.) to become the foremost expert on their end-to-end workflows. Your mission is to map our current state, identify friction points, and pinpoint the highest-impact opportunities for AI implementation. This role is perfect for a process-obsessed operator who loves to connect the dots between business problems and technology-driven solutions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Process Mapping & Analysis: Conduct deep-dive discovery with teams across the Field organization. Document and visualize critical business processes from end-to-end, creating a definitive library of our "as-is" workflows.
  • Opportunity Identification: Analyze existing processes to identify bottlenecks, manual tasks, and pain points that are prime candidates for AI-driven automation and optimization. Quantify the potential impact of these improvements.
  • AI Use Case Translation: Serve as the primary point of contact between operations teams and the AI strategy leads. Translate business needs and process gaps into clear requirements for potential AI solutions and vendors.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with leaders in Sales Operations, PreSales Operations, and Sales to understand their priorities, gain buy-in for process changes, and ensure new solutions are adopted effectively.
  • Solution Implementation & Project Management: Partner with our Business Technology teams to plan and execute the implementation of new Field AI tools. Manage project timelines, dependencies, and user acceptance testing for your designated areas.

Tool Ownership & Governance: In some cases, own the administration and strategy for specific Field AI applications. Develop best practices, create documentation, and provide support to ensure we are maximizing the value of our investments.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 5-7+ years of experience in an operations role such as Sales Operations, Business Process Improvement, or a related field within the technology sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business process mapping, analysis, and re-engineering. You are proficient with tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar process documentation software.
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects from discovery through to implementation.
  • Strong analytical skills and a highly structured, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels. You are process-obsessed. You naturally think in flowcharts and are driven to find more efficient ways of working.
  • You are a detective. You have a curious mindset and love digging into complex systems to understand how they truly work.
  • You are a practical innovator. You balance a forward-looking view of technology with a realistic understanding of what it takes to implement change in a large organization.
  • You are a builder and a collaborator. You thrive on working with diverse teams to build solutions together and are skilled at bringing people along on the journey.

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!

  • Direct experience implementing or administering a major Field system (e.g., Salesforce, Clari, etc).
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with the current landscape of Field AI tools (e.g., conversational AI, prospecting, forecasting).
  • Experience working in a change management capacity, helping teams adopt new technologies and processes.
