Cirrus Federation Bridge
Overview
Okta’s integration with Cirrus Identity allows end users to authenticate to SAML based mesh federations such as InCommon, or other members of the wider eduGAIN federation of federations. The Cirrus Federation Bridge allows an organization’s investment in Okta SSO to be extended globally to higher education and research oriented service providers that leverage the SAML protocol. The Cirrus Federation Bridge also allows Okta SSO to authenticate end users to service providers that only support the Central Authentication Service (CAS). This can expedite migration to Okta for primary authentication, and support cloud SSO for remaining legacy CAS applications.
