Dane Hurtubise

VP of Platform & Partnerships
Greenhouse Software

Don’t default to always solving problems with technology. Some of the most effective solutions can be done with a paper and pen or through a conversation.

Dane’s impact:

Dane is an experienced VP of Platform and Partnerships at Greenhouse Software. He’s responsible for the growth and support of Greenhouse's ecosystem of 265 distinct integration partners, the largest and fastest-growing ecosystem in the talent acquisition industry.

Dane created the Platform and Partnerships team in October 2016 to help Greenhouse customers build their ideal, best-in-breed, HR technology stack through a set of expansive APIs and webhooks. These APIs are the first of their kind and enable third-parties to embed themselves within customers’ hiring processes to make recruiters more efficient and give candidates a better, more cohesive experience. Greenhouse also offers webhooks, an advanced capability that facilitates real-time integrations into many HCM systems and allows for customers to create custom workflows.

Dane’s team has also built out commercial relationships with the integration partners, extending feature capabilities, and filling gaps in Greenhouse’s products as a result. His team describes him as being “integral in developing an unparalleled Partnerships team, which has directly impacted the growth and success of our incredible partner ecosystem.” He is a strategic leader that constantly ensures new projects tie back to and positively impact Greenhouse’s overall business goals.

Greenhouse has 3,000 customers, and they on average use seven integrations across 20+ different categories. From candidate travel to AI-powered assessments, customers are taking advantage of the ecosystem to level up their HR tech stack and optimize all talent-related processes.

Why he’s an Up-and-Comer:

Not only has Dane built a robust team, but he also gives them autonomy to drive new processes and find creative ways to partner with solutions in the ecosystem. He’s consistently assessing the professional goals of his team and finding where each member can align their interests so that they’re engaged and able to grow.

Dane’s team also appreciates how “he values both diversity and inclusion and strives to be a leader that champions diversity of thought.” He empowers his team by listening and responding to their ideas, issues, and incorporating new ways of thinking. He’s incredibly receptive to feedback — everyone feels comfortable providing input, as he is always genuinely excited about learning new ways to grow and improve.
