Reflecting on 2016

In 2016, we heard resoundingly from you — our customers — that you’re responsible for leading disruptive change within your businesses. You’re unifying your organizations, building closer relationships with your customers and partners, dreaming up brand new products and rethinking your businesses models with technology. Your missions and work are what inspire, excite and drive the Okta team to innovate. We recognize that your success is our success.

I wanted to reflect on some of the incredible accomplishments we’ve seen from your teams over the past year, we hope you all are as inspired as we have been.

  • Leaders in healthcare like Seattle Children’s Hospital, Genomic Health and Mount Sinai Health Systems team are revolutionizing healthcare with connected systems, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
  • Businesses that have been around for hundreds of years are transforming themselves into technology companies. James Fairweather, the SVP of Technology at Pitney Bowes, and his team launched the Commerce Cloud, providing cloud-based location intelligence, global e-commerce and customer information management solutions to help customers run their business more efficiently.
  • Nonprofits are leveraging the best technology to connect more directly with their constituents. Jim Daniell, COO of Oxfam, and his team create a more unified IT stack and brought on Facebook’s Workplace to enable communication across its 18 separate entities — all with Okta as the foundation. Today, Oxfam employees and volunteers can better collaborate before, during and after times of disaster and great need.

As we enter the new year, we thank you for your trusted partnerships. We are honored to be a part of your technology story and we look forward to continuing to work with you on your most significant projects in 2017 and beyond.
