Scott Morgan
Scott Morgan leads Okta’s global legal, regulatory, governance, and government affairs functions. He brings more than 25 years of experience practicing at the intersection of law, technology, and policy, with a proven track record of scaling growth businesses and managing complex legal operations at iconic technology companies.
Prior to joining Okta, Scott served as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, Global Affairs & Secretary at Splunk. Over his 12 years there, he played a pivotal role in guiding the company’s significant growth and success. Earlier in his career, Scott served as legal counsel at Autodesk and Tellabs, and worked as an associate at law firms Morrison & Foerster LLP and Thoits, Love, Hershberger & McClean LLP, where he specialized in corporate finance, acquisitions, intellectual property, and technology licensing.
A recognized leader in the legal community, Scott frequently advises senior executives and boards on AI, governance, and leadership. He is an investor and advisor to start-ups and his alma maters.
Scott earned a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco.
