Okta for Good Pro Bono Professional Services

Technical support to help nonprofits succeed

Okta for Good believes nonprofits deserve access to the same powerful technology as for-profit businesses. That’s why we provide donated and discounted products to eligible organizations.

But we know access isn’t always enough. To truly unlock the power of Okta, many nonprofits need expert services.

We're here to help. Eligible U.S.-based nonprofit customers can receive hands-on implementation services from our team to ensure your Identity goals are met.

"I want to express how fantastic it’s been working with Okta Professional Services. We are finally able to migrate Office 365 to Okta. Our Okta consultant has been amazing and has really saved this project from faltering. Thank you so much for this program."

Project Scope

This program offers nonprofit customers based in the U.S. a chance to receive packaged, no-cost implementation support with an Okta PS team. Eligible applicants qualify for support with one of the following platforms:

  • Okta Platform: 2 Design, 4 Build sessions (up to 38 hours with Okta PS)
  • Auth0 Platform: 4 Design sessions (up to 36 hours with Okta PS)

Applications for pro bono services are not guaranteed to be approved, and some projects may be deemed out-of-scope. For example, this program is not meant to support a customer's first-ever deployment of Okta, in order to minimize time-to-value and ensure successful implementations.

Examples of other topics and functionality that are out-of-scope include:

  • Integrating with on-premise systems (MS Sharepoint / Exchange, for example)
  • SSO integrations that are not based on IAM industry standards, such as SAML, OIDC, WS-Fed, OAuth, etc.
  • Coding (other than workflow templates/code examples)
  • Tenant diagnostics / Health checks
  • CIC tenant migrations
  • Customer staging, end-user communication, and change management
  • Devices, authenticators, technology, or integrations not supported by Okta
  • FedRamp or HIPAA-impacted tenants

Once an application is approved, the project may take several weeks to launch. As a result, we don’t recommend the pro bono program for projects with an urgent timeline. If approved, pro bono PS may be combined with or extended by a paid engagement with Okta PS.
