Okta named a Leader in Forrester Wave™: Workforce Identity Platforms, Q1 2024

Okta has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Workforce Identity Platforms, Q1 2024,* the first report of its kind from Forrester. We received the highest score in the current offering category and the maximum possible score in the market presence category for its Workforce Identity Cloud offer in the industry ranking. *
The report considered how Okta and other vendors measure up in 24 criteria. Okta was evaluated for its Workforce Identity Cloud offer and received the highest score in the current offering category and the highest possible score in the market presence category. In addition, Okta tied for the highest scores among evaluated vendors in the Authentication Methods & Single Sign-On and Identity Federation criteria and received the highest possible scores in half of the criteria evaluated.
The report provides detailed data and rankings that customers can consider when choosing a solution. It noted that: “Okta’s strengths revolve around its core Identity provider (IdP) capabilities, a cloud-based directory, reliable single sign-on (SSO) with a robust set of prebuilt application integrations, and adaptive MFA that includes passwordless options, such as Okta FastPass and FIDO security keys.”
The Wave report also notes, “Okta’s Workforce Identity Cloud product roadmap includes platform hardening and business continuity improvements, Identity threat protection using AI, extension of privileged access and governance functionality for entitlement management (e.g., cloud infrastructure entitlement management), and workflow automation and orchestration expansion.”
