AI Frameworks & Services

The AI Frameworks and Services team is at the forefront of enabling AI-driven innovation across our organization. We build the foundational frameworks and essential services that empower engineering teams to integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities into our products, transforming how our users interact with them. From crafting intuitive generative AI-powered chat experiences that provide instant product support, to developing the best developer experience around authentication for generative AI and AI agents, as well as implementing intelligent security features, our team is instrumental in bringing the transformative power of AI to life. We collaborate closely with the Machine Learning team and various product teams to ensure the seamless and secure delivery of AI-enhanced features that provide real value to our users. AIFS plays a critical role in accelerating the adoption of AI, ensuring its security and reliability, and ultimately enhancing the user experience across our entire product ecosystem.
The engineering manager will help lead, build, and scale the AIFS team. The ideal candidate has experience in engineering management and a strong technical background at the intersection of AI and software engineering. Successful candidates also have the ability to collaborate cross functionally to navigate unknowns and drive initiatives forward. In this role, you will have the opportunity to significantly contribute towards Auth0’s AI journey.
Responsibilities
- Lead and magnify the impact of a highly collaborative team with a strong focus on customer value delivery.
- Support and help elevate engineers through coaching, mentorship, and actionable feedback.
- Build a culture of discovery, learning, and experimentation on a distributed team through continuous iteration.
- Partner with product management and engineering leadership to define the roadmap that enables the next generation of AI products. Collaborate across Engineering, Product Management, Security and Design teams to solve technical and non-technical challenges.
- Responsible for process improvements that drive operational excellence and create efficiency during a time of massive growth.
- Communicate verbally and in writing to stakeholders and leadership teams with various levels of technical knowledge, educating them about our systems, as well as sharing insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years as an engineering manager, with experience leading development of production systems and familiarity with AI technologies (bonus points for experience building AI systems).
- Familiarity and experience with AI infrastructure and agentic frameworks.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional stakeholders, and to hire and mentor top technical talent at different experience levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively interface with business, executive and technical teams.
- Exceptional quality orientation and a demonstrated ability to build and lead a high-performance team. Drive improvements on aspects such as operation, test automation, code quality, and performance and cost efficiency.
- Experience with agile software development balanced with enterprise software customer needs.
- Ability to deal well with ambiguity, ability to self-motivate, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:$147,000—$221,000 CADWhat you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee!
