The Opportunity

Okta is seeking a Senior Principal Enterprise Program Manager to join our Enterprise PMO. In this highly strategic and hands-on role, you will lead complex, and sometimes cross-company transformation initiatives designed to drive growth, scale our operations for efficiency, and improve our compliance posture. You will be a key driver in elevating EPMO processes, advocating our program delivery framework, and enabling enterprise-wide collaboration, alignment and execution.

To be successful in this role, you will have to be a driver and owner - you are energized by problem solving, an exceptional collaborator, biased toward action, and dedicated to swift and precise delivery. 

This role requires a seasoned leader with:

  • A track record of leading transformational cross functional initiatives
  • Expertise in complex program delivery frameworks
  • Broad and deep knowledge of SaaS business, strategy, roadmap and internal processes, enabling innovative concepts and promoting new ideas 
  • Exceptional relationship building skills, communication skills, including experience presenting to C-level executives
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and drive data driven project outcomes through stakeholder alignment across functions and executive level

What you’ll be doing 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multi-year, cross-functional transformation programs
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, ensuring programs align with business strategy and integrate seamlessly into core operations
  • Analyze program needs and leverage data to prioritize focus areas, manage dependencies, and measure success
  • Evaluate and continuously improve EPMO processes to ensure scalability, efficiency, and business impact
  • Drive Company Operation functions including but not limited to: annual planning, workforce planning, mentorship
  • Develop and execute communication strategies that provide clear visibility into program goals, status, and outcomes
  • Foster strong collaboration, accountability, and alignment across teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 12+ years of program/project management experience in a cloud/SaaS environment, including leadership of at least two company-wide transformation initiatives
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization, including executive leadership
  • Demonstrated success in defining and implementing fit-for-purpose processes and scalable frameworks
  • Proficiency in project and work management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Jira)
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Lucid, and Confluence
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

  • PMP, PgMP, or other industry certifications
  • Experience in high-growth technology companies

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $206,000$310,000 USD
