User Groups

Okta user groups are local events where customers can share best practices and success stories, uncover new tips and techniques, collaborate with other users, and learn where Okta is heading

Top 5 reasons to join a User Group:

  1. Make new contacts and build relationships that extend well beyond the event.
  2. Stay savvy on identity, security, user experience, and access management.
  3. Discover new trends and technologies from other professionals in the field.
  4. Learn how other people are using Okta to solve unique use cases.
  5. Eat and drink for free.

Become an Okta User Group leader

What is a User Group leader?

User Group leaders are Okta customers and advocates just like you. They volunteer their time to make every meeting an amazing experience. Their Okta expertise spans from beginner to advanced.

How will Okta help me run these things?

You’re not alone in planning your meetings. All logistics, venue sourcing, promotions, and registration are on us!

Why should I become a User Group leader?

It’s a great opportunity to build your social network, establish your expertise, and get cred for your contributions. To show our appreciation, we’ll hook you up with:

  • A free ticket to Oktane, our annual user conference
  • We believe that all of our leaders should be part of the Okta Certified family... so we will pay for you to take the test!
  • Awesome swag

What does a User Group leader do?

  • The leaders are in charge of the agenda for the meeting and making sure that it is what other customers want to hear (3 per year)
  • Make sure meetings are welcoming, interesting, and full of relevant content (Okta can help with this)
  • Help grow the Okta community, including mentoring new user group leaders
