Invest in an identity fabric: Gartner recommends a unified identity fabric “that seamlessly integrates IGA with adjacent domains to provide continuous, end-to-end visibility and governance over all identities and permissions.” Okta has extended that fabric to non-human and privileged workloads with new features such as Access Certifications for Service Accounts.
Prioritize unified governance for all identity types: Gartner advises selecting “IGA platforms offering unified governance of all identity types and seamless integration across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.” Okta extends lifecycle management and governance capabilities to legacy infrastructure with out-of-the-box integrations such as the On-Premises Connector for Generic Databases.
