Okta is pleased to announce the appointment of Shannon Duffy as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). As a well-known and highly respected marketing executive, Duffy will help drive Okta's next phase of growth by establishing identity as the critical foundation for securing AI. Duffy will be responsible for guiding the team to embrace new ways of working and executing the company’s marketing strategy – showcasing how Okta’s platforms protect every identity, human and non-human, to enable secure AI adoption at scale.

In her new role, Duffy will focus on elevating brand awareness, delivering global campaigns that drive demand, and empowering go-to-market (GTM) teams to win. She will also bring her proven approach to using AI to unlock efficiency gains and scale teams.

Duffy joins Okta after her most recent role as a public company CMO with Asana. She brings 25 years of experience in marketing, including 15 in enterprise SaaS and 10 in senior executive positions. Her extensive background includes over a decade at Salesforce, where she led product marketing across multiple product lines and advanced to run all cloud marketing, overseeing demand generation, events, digital, and brand for the company’s core clouds and industry products.
