San Francisco, CA – October 16, 2013 — Today, Okta today revealed its program of executive and industry speakers for its inaugural user conference, Oktane13. The event will feature innovations for the future of business technology and offer sessions covering recent developments in enterprise identity management, external portals and application integrations. Oktane13 will be held on November 3-5 at the InterContinental Hotel in San Francisco, CA.

Oktane13’s lineup of keynote speakers includes:

  • Geoffrey Moore, high-tech business advisor and author of "Crossing the Chasm" and "Escape Velocity";
  • Ben Horowitz, co-founder and partner of the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz;
  • Todd McKinnon, Okta CEO and co-founder;
  • Frederic Kerrest, Okta COO and co-founder.
  •

Attendees will gain valuable insights from Oktane13’s breakout speakers, including Oktane13 sponsors Box, ServiceNow, Workday, Jive Software, and Amazon Web Services, as well as Okta customers Allergan, Inc., AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Informatica, LinkedIn, National Geographic, Post Holdings, Rosetta Stone, School of Rock, ServiceSource, Splunk, and Western Union.

As part of the event, Okta co-founder and CEO Todd McKinnon will share Okta’s vision for the company along with major product announcements during his opening keynote on Monday, November 4.

"IT leaders have reached a critical transition in how they deliver value to a business. Their roles are becoming less about provisioning and managing technology, and more about defining and optimizing end-user experiences," said McKinnon. "Oktane13 will be a great place for attendees to talk about this transition and the increasingly important role of identity management, share best practices with each other, and learn about new ways to extend the Okta platform."

Oktane13 comes on the heels of Okta’s recent Series D funding and international expansion announcement. The event will feature real-world experiences and insights into implementing solutions from several of Okta’s hundreds of customers, as well as best practices from partners and product. Oktane13 will also have hands-on labs and an expert bar to give direct access to Okta experts for additional training on integrating top apps, using Okta APIs, and planning external identity management scenarios.
