Head of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

The Head of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a key leader partnering with senior leadership across Okta to meet the company's financial objectives, identifying risks and opportunities across the business. The successful candidate will build strategic partnerships across functional teams, leading to improved processes, accurate forecasts and transparency around key operating metrics. This position reports to the Head of FP&A.

  • Lead quarterly outlook and monthly financial income statement and cash flow forecast processes, resulting in added visibility, a clear understanding of business trends and overall financial outlook, and meeting accuracy targets.
  • Drive the financial long-range planning (LRP) and annual budgeting processes to achieve the overall company strategy, partnering with key stakeholders across FP&A, Operations and Corporate strategy.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses with the ability to summarize and present findings clearly to executive leadership team members.
  • Partner with Finance Transformation, Business Technology (IT), and Data & Insights on systems/tools roadmaps, process improvements, reporting and analytics, and automation opportunities to prioritize and improve forecasting, planning, reporting, and other vital areas to scale the function and organization.
  • Be a strategic financial partner to the CFO, FP&A Leadership, and IR Leadership.
  • Partner with the Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Accounting Operations organizations on the close and earnings release processes.
  • Lead corporate FP&A team of 15 based in the US and India, with a heavy emphasis on coaching and managing for performance, career development, and attracting and retaining talent.


What We Need From You

  • 15+ years of relevant FP&A experience, with at least 5 years directly managing people and teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related Business field;  MBA a plus.
  • You have deep experience in public company SaaS/software, with a command of the SaaS industry and related metrics.
  • You have excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and business partnering skills, with a track record of collaborating across organizational functions and levels to accomplish team goals.
  • You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who can simplify the complex, make/drive decisions, and adapt to changing environments.
  • You have a strong understanding of FP&A systems and related critical systems (ERP, HCM) and can partner with key stakeholders to develop and execute on an integrated strategy.
  • You can work through ambiguity, create clarity, provide direction and drive change.
  • You excel at managing multiple initiatives and deliverables in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining high quality.
  • You are adept at operating at all levels, with an eye on the strategic big picture, while able to be hands-on at appropriate times.
  • You are proficient in Excel/Gsheet and can create/polish executive-level presentations in PowerPoint/GSlides.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$249,000$373,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $278,000$418,000 USD
