In the Recruiter role you will be responsible, along with your peers, for building and growing our location for Okta in India! The right candidate will be the ground floor owner and builder of the business across all functions with a heavy emphasis on Business Technology and Engineering. Reporting back to the local recruiting manager, this person will have vast ownership and say in how Okta positions itself in the market for tech talent among other verticals and for creating a world class internal culture that the best of the best want to be a part of. In this unique, first of its kind role, you will be expected to balance work across global geographies while acting as the market expert and owner of our newest growth center. Come join us!
What you’ll be doing:
- Hire India business needs in and around the Bengaluru area
- Align key talent initiatives and resources with Okta's core business objectives
- Organizational design: building an effective organization designed to deliver at scale in a hyper-growth company
- Partner with key product unit leaders and managers to ensure hiring of the right talent at the right time.
- Partnership & Influence - Work closely with Finance & HR leaders to deliver short & long-term talent solutions that drive growth & efficiency
- Operational Excellence – drive efficiencies that scale; metrics, process, technology
- Align operating rhythms that ensure the team hits established KPI's for hiring
- Seen as a Brand Ambassador and steward of talent for Okta
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 3+ years in corporate, internal recruiting business facing role with experience recruiting across Engineering, Product, IT, Sales, and G&A profiles in the India market
- Demonstrated experience delivering on internal and external talent branding (referral drives, tech talks, webinars, LinkedIn campaigns, blog posts, hiring events etc) is required
- 2+ years of demonstrated building and growing business teams in India
- 2+ years direct partnership with internal business leadership up to Director and partners (HR, Finance, Ops, compensation, benefits teams) building strategy and hiring execution plans
- Direct experience working across global locations and time zones and influencing without ownership in a dotted line organizational structure
- 3+ years of direct ownership, having built and scaled a business center of excellence site in the India market from the ground up
- Program/Project management experience within the talent acquisition space
- Intellectually Curious; you never stop looking for ways to make the business, yourself or your team better at what we do, and hire great talent
- Direct experience building and sharing retrospective and forward-looking analytics with internal stakeholders on talent market and internal success metrics in Recruiting (hires, run rates, acceptance rates, talent availability, and more)
- Demonstrated ability to balance short-term & long-term; you understand the need to meet short-term goals while planning for future growth and scale.
