The Director, Global Customer First Enablement Opportunity

We are looking for an outstanding leader to build, scale and operationalize our Global Customer First Enablement team. This role is responsible for developing and executing a strategy for onboarding and continued enablement of our Customer First team members across technical and role readiness competencies. This role will partner closely with the Customer Support, Renewals, Customer Success and Professional Services  teams in addition to Product Management, Product Marketing and Field Enablement. The goal is to design, build and run an enablement function that efficiently aligns people, skills, processes, and initiatives with impactful training, communications, and tools.  The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of post sales roles and has prior experience building and  leading enablement teams and programs. This is a global role and the ideal candidate understands regional nuances and best practices for high engagement and retention. This role requires excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and motivate stakeholders at all levels. What you’ll be doing 
  • Build relationships with your internal customers to understand their goals, their challenges, and develop a plan that aligns with these goals.
  • Align the team around a strategy for how enablement should be organized, what are the top priorities, and how success will be measured.   
  • Create a consistent framework to uncover enablement needs by role and region, identify commonalities and uniqueness, and develop concise articulation of findings.
  • Provide role based subject matter expertise to the development of global strategic enablement programs.
  • Communicate effectively and persistently to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and view enablement programs as a multiplier. 
  • Review technical and non technical learning paths to achieve business objectives. This requires experience in the role and/or deep understanding of the business function.    
  • Ensure that content and programs are instrumented to quantify the impact of enablement.   
  • Determine how localized needs will be executed relative to the Strategic Programs areas of focus.
  • Set clear performance expectations, conducting regular evaluations with the team members to drive towards measurable impact.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 10+ years of enablement 
  • Previous experience in building and operationalizing enablement programs
  • Experience in post sales technical roles and customer facing success & growth functions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proven track record of inspiring and growing top enablement talent
  • High energy, charismatic, innovative, creative individual  
  • Leadership DNA, proven ability to excite and lead a multi faceted enablement team
  • Ability to deliver results in a global, matrixed environment
  • Strong communication skills

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$174,000$262,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $195,000$293,000 USD
