The Manager of Sales Development, UKI will drive the day to day operations of our UKI Sales Development Reps (SDRs). SDR teams at Okta strategically generate outbound opportunities and qualify inbound leads in alignment to their mapped territories. The ideal candidate will not only be an outstanding coach of SDRs but will also understand how to implement and ensure the execution of repeatable processes that allow the team and regional pipeline numbers to scale rapidly. Strong, hands-on utilization skills of Salesforce, Outreach and analytics is a must. This role will report directly into our EMEA Senior Sales Development Director.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop Okta’s existing team of SDRs
  • Drive outstanding pipeline generation results across region & segment
  • Continue to grow the SDR team by driving the hiring process, in partnership with recruitment
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to systematically improve the lead qualification processes and pipeline conversion rates to maximize team efficiency, effectiveness, and lead quality
  • Conduct weekly and monthly forecasts around team performance
  • Work closely with Account Executive teams and Marketing Managers to ensure a positive working relationship and maximize the effectiveness of the sales development team
  • Remove roadblocks that arise that could impede the success of the SDR team

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience leading and growing a sales or sales development team within the SaaS Industry (cyber security is a plus)
  • Proven track record training, coaching and mentoring SDRs 
  • Understanding of a prospecting methodology and strategy in order to strategically outbound into target accounts
  • Alignment with Marketing and handling inbound lead flow
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and with multiple departments including sales, marketing, recruitment and operations
  • Aptitude for making data-driven decisions and forming a narrative
