Registration

How do I register?

To register for a class, go to the course description in the catalog and select Register. After you place your order, we’ll work on your training request and contact you within one business day. If you have questions, you can email [email protected].

Seats in Instructor-led courses are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Enrollment will be confirmed once billing and registrant information is received.

If you are attending a private class, there is a special registration process for your team. If you have any questions, you can email [email protected].

Have a large team to train or want to explore specialized use cases?

Let us tailor a learning experience for your organization’s needs. Private delivery is dedicated to your team in a private virtual classroom or at your location. Email [email protected].

What are Training Units and how do I use them?

Okta Training Units (TUs) provide a flexible way to purchase Okta training and certification services up front and use the credits as needed to enable your team all year long. Learn more by downloading the Okta Training Units datasheet or contact us today.

I have a Gold or Silver success plan, am I entitled to any discounts on training?

If you have a discount, it will be applied when you register. If you have questions about whether you qualify, you can email [email protected].

I have a 503c non-profit organization, am I entitled to any discounts on training?

Okta for Good approved customers save 50% on public training and Okta Learning Passes. The discount is applied when you register for classes.

Who can enroll in training courses?

Okta customers, prospects, and partners can purchase Instructor-led training classes.

I’m registered for a Hands-on training class. Do you mind if a colleague looks over my shoulder?

Each training seat is like an individual license, assigned to an individual student. Only confirmed students may attend the training. Sharing the training event with others is expressly prohibited.

What happens if I miss an instructor-led course I’ve registered for?

Please read our Training Terms to be familiar with our registration change and cancellation terms and penalties.

What is your cancellation policy for instructor-led training?

You have one (1) year after purchase to complete your course unless otherwise specified by the terms of the sales agreement.

Okta training fees are non-refundable. However, registrations for Instructor-led training may be rescheduled or canceled without penalty up to five business days prior to the class start date if submitted in writing to

If you fail to attend the class you registered for, you forfeit your registration fee. We cannot apply forfeited fees to future classes. Can someone else in my company take my seat in a class?

Absolutely, just let us know. Registered class attendee(s) may be substituted without charge.
 

Accessing the Virtual Classroom

How do I attend my training session?

Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a calendar invite. You will also receive an email reminder 24 hours, 1 hour, and 30-15 minutes before the class starts. Each of these emails will include instructions on how to launch the class. You can also launch your class from the Transcript page of your Okta Learning Portal. When are the breaks in the classes?

Your instructor will review the course schedule, including breaks at the beginning of class.
