#3Peat: Okta Named a Leader in Gartner’s IDaaS Magic Quadrant For Third Year in a Row
As of this week, we’ve been named a leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Identity and Access Management two more times than Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors have won NBA championships. (Although we hope they catch up — go Warriors!) That’s right, for the third consecutive year, Gartner has named Okta a leader in its annual report. You can find a complimentary copy here.
We also once again achieved the highest overall position in ability to execute, a placement we’ve held since the report was first published in 2014. We believe this is a testament to our team, product and our thousands of successful customers. In fact, we owe this placement to our customers — enterprises like NASDAQ, News Corp, Pitney Bowes, Engie and Flex — who shared their positive experiences with implementations, product reliability and support. Traditionally enterprise software companies have pointed to the sheer number of their customers without accounting for whether or not they actually use the service, whereas we’re more concerned with our customers’ success.
Beyond validating our product innovation and commitment to customer success, this year’s Magic Quadrant showcases a thriving and growing need for identity management. Both the oldest, largest companies in the world and the newest startups are reinventing their industries with digital technology, and they are turning to identity to securely connect their employees, customers, partners and consumers. Identity is foundational to these companies’ digital transformations and we have a proven track record of enabling our customers to drive their businesses forward.
2016 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Okta — building on last year’s provisioning advancements, updates to the Okta Platform and support for Android for Work, this year we’ve announced a HIPAA compliant cell, contextual access management with Box for EMM, and mobile updates such as Touch ID support, Safari extensions and a private app store. And we’re not stopping there. We look forward to sharing what’s next for Okta and celebrating the continued success of our customers at Oktane16 in August.
As always, thank you to our customers and congratulations, team!
